P1 W1MAX expands coverage

Committed to cover 35% of Malaysia by the end of this year, P1 W1MAX has recently expanded coverage to three new areas in Malaysia namely Ipoh, Kuantan and Kuala Terengganu.

“Expanding P1 W1MAX network coverage is one of our highest priorities and the expansion to these three states illustrates our commitment in ensuring that as many Malaysians as possible can have access to quality broadband with the flexibility, convenience and ease-of-use of wireless broadband at affordable prices.” -- Michael Lai, Chief Executive Officer, P1

The areas covered in Ipoh include Taman Fair Park, Taman Sri Ampang, Guntong, Kampung Kastam, Taman Pari, Taman Silibin, selected areas within Kuantan, and the eastern region of Kuala Terengganu including Kampung Batas Baru, Kampung Batu Buruk, Kampung Kuala Hiliran, Taman Budaya, Kampung Ladang Tok Pelam and Kampung Tok Ku.

In addition to this announcement, P1 has also reaffirmed that the company is commited to bringing W1MAX to East Malaysia by 2010.
